COMPRESSION STRENGTH

Millions of glass webs in GLAPOR foam glass provide excellent comprehensive strength.
When compacted, the GLAPOR foam glass grains interlink, resulting in excellent overall dimensional and shape stability.
CLOSED CELLED / ZERO-CAPILLARY Closed cells ensure that the individual grains are absolutely waterproof.
Capillary action is thus rendered impossible.
HEAT-INSULATING

This main characteristic leads to a excellent heat insulation characteristic of this light aggregate. This is ensured by the air which is embedded in the cell.

RECYCLABLE / REUSABLE
 GLAPOR foam glass gravel consists entirely of recycled glass and can either be reused or recycled.
INERT GLAPOR foam glass gravel neither absorbs substances from nor secretes substances to its surrounding environment.
DRAINAGE GLAPOR foam glass gravel contains about 30-35% of hollow space in its compacted state.
This hollow space acts to brake any capillary action, thereby draining water perfectly.
FROST RESISTANT
 GLAPOR foam glass gravel is totally frost resistant due to the closed-cell nature of its make up.
STABILISING GLAPOR foam glass gravel leads to the improvement of weight-bearing capability of unstable or uneven ground.
Dimensional stability is ensured by its low weight and the interlinking characteristic of the grains.
GLAPOR foam glass gravel can replace the laying of piles or consolidation fill.

LIGHT / VERSATILE GLAPOR foam glass gravel has a bulk density of only 100 / 150 kg / m³, depending on the spefication.
This is 1/10 to 1/20 of the weight of gravel.
It can be delivered in big bags of different sizes, bulk or via a textile chute.
NO-COMBUSTIBLE GLAPOR foam glass gravel is non-flammable. The softening point is over 700°C.
GLAPOR is classified as an A1 Class Building Material.
ODOURLESS GLAPOR foam glass gravel is odourless.
